Jon Wilder modded jcm800 2204
.This is a JCM800, 2204 50 watt one channel all tube Marshall. Made in the 80s. It rocked when it was stock. Now it’s a fire breathing monster. Amp has been modded into a two channel amp - with clean and lead. I didn’t profile the clean, it was ok but nothing great, something to cover a few moments here and there where you need a clean tone. But the lead channel...
This amp is in the same strata tone-wise as Friedman and Cameron mods. I’ve owned both. A friend lucked into this amp years ago, and it’s his tone yardstick - the guy has gone through many amps, and keeps coming back to this. I can see why. A profle of this amp is my live ‘go to’ for crunch rhythms and leads. It sounds great.
There are 18 total profilles. I used a variety of microphones - the usual suspects:

Vintage Shure USA Unidyne III SM57
MXL144 Ribbon
Heil PR20
Telefunken M81
...and combinations of the above mics. I found two settings that I really liked, so that gives us 10 profiles... then I tweaked five of those by hand. I also include two DO profiles - one that matches the first five profiles, one that matches the second five. Mics used for each profile is in the cabinet info on the profiles.
I used current Kemper production firmware - not a Beta. It’s 2.7.4. By including the twoDirect Out profiles, you should be able to make your own ‘merged’ profiles with what I’m providing, something that Kemper doesn’t want commercial profilers to do until the features are finalized. So I will provide the ‘raw material’ so to speak and you can try it out. There’s no need to worry about compatibility - if you are running a firmware that can’t support merged profiles, you can’t merge them in the first place. If you have any questions, please contact me before purchasing these or any of my Profiles.

I used Profile 13 and 15 on this clip, hard left and hard right rhythms, solo was 13 also. Backing track had a rhythm guitar during the solo, all guitars other than that one during the solo are Kemper, no effects other than from the Kemper - delay and reverb. Used a Tom Anderson Drop Top with floyd rose tremolo tuned to Eb.
