Soldano Hot Rod 50 profiles
This is a set of profiles pulled from a Single Channel Soldano Hot Rod 50. Single channel amps are simpler in design than dual or three channel amps, and they have no tone-sucking relays or other circuitry to alter the tone. They do make a two channel Hot Rod Soldano amp, but I prefer the single channel for profiling because of the reasons above.
There are 8 different amp settings in this profile collection, and four different microphones - a vintage SM57, an Audix i5, a Heil PR20, and an Audio Technica 4033a. Of those 8 amp settings, 5 are high input, 3 are low. Everything from crystal cleans to Metal tones are in this amp - check out the samples below of Clean, Mid gain (with an example of how well it cleans up) and High Gain.
Cabinet used was my favorite old 1972 Straight Marshall cab. Microphones went through a Focusrite preamp before they reached the Kemper.
The profile pack includes pictures of each of the eight amp settings.
