1965 Vox ac 30
When you think about classic amps, Vox is usually in that list with Fender, Marshall and others. The AC30 was 30 watts and easier to crank onstage for overdrive than a 100 watt marshall. Everyone from Brad Paisley to Tom Petty to Queen to U2 have used AC30s at one time or another. Think of an amp that can get nice EL84 powered cleans and approaches Marshall Plexi grind when cranked.
Even at 30 watts, these amps are LOUD and not everyone gets a chance to crank one up through a vintage cab. Enter Pete's Profiles. One other issue with the AC30s is that they loved to eat EL84 power tubes and were prone to overheating and breaking down. Again, I cranked mine and now you can get that cranked AC30 tone at any time with your Kemper - safely!
Microphones used were Neumann TLM103, Heil PR20, Sennheiser MD421 and MXL R144 Ribbons in varying combinations. Within each profile the mics are listed. There are 8 profiles that include the regular profile, a direct out profile, and a merged profile. Seven are regular profiles. This gives a total of 29 profiles, several different gain levels, everything from crunch to clean.

Loving these Vox profiles. I have tried so many over the past few months and was about to just chalk it up as an amp I just don't get along with. So many great rock tones have been created with this amp but I just couldn't get it.
I bought yours and love them! They may be my favorite set of profiles you have made

Hi Pete, just bought the pack, sounds awesome ! I was not a big fan of vox profiles until you profiled this vintage AC30 in all extents . I love the tonal range & the great variations you did, early Who and dirty growly cleans, the drive are also interesting.
