1979 Friedman Kitchen Sink Marshall Brown Eye Channel profiles
These profiles are of a 1979 100 watt JMP Marshall modded by Dave Friedman. This set is of the low input/Brown Eye channel. It can get quite high levels of gain but also a clear awesome vintage marshall tone too.
There are seven basic settings (with images) and 6 sets of microphones per setting, giving a total of 42 profiles. Microphones used were:
Heil PR20
MXL144 Ribbon / Focusrite ISA One preamp
Shure SM57
Shure SM77
Sennheiser e609 silver
Audix i5
Profiles 5, 6 and 7 have the C45 mod engaged
Profiles 5 and 6 have saturation
Profile 7 has gain cut
Sound clip below is profile 6, Heil PR20 microphone, C45 and Saturation on. One guitar with a stereo delay, all fx from kemper profiling amp. Guitar used was an Eric Johnson stratocaster with a hot rails in the bridge.
