EVH 5150 iii 50 watt smallbox
Eddie Van Halen has been the king of great sounding, yet relatively inexpensive amps since the 90s with his two channel 5150 amp. This is the latest offering from King Eddie, the 5150 III 50 watt amp that has the following features:
1) Three great sounding channels (green, blue and red)
2) resonance and presence controls
3) footswitchable FX loop
Although this is a great amp, it does have one huge disadvantage - channels one and two share the same gain, volume and EQ settings. Fortunately this isn't a problem with the Kemper, as we have profiled each channel individually.
Also this amp's 50 watt rating allows you to get a little more power amp overdrive, which adds character and some would even say a better tone than an amp that isn't pushed a little bit.
Microphones used were a combination of the following:
Neumann TLM103
Sennheiser MD421
Heil PR20
MXL144 Ribbon
All profiles have a 'regular' version, a Direct Output version, and a 'Merged' version. If Kemper changes the merging firmware in any way, you have the 'raw materals' with the regular and DO versions to create your own merged profiles later on. There is a slight difference between the regular profiles and the merged ones, you may prefer one or the other, so all are provided.
Green profiles are of the clean channel and are only available if you purchase both Red and Blue channels together. It has of course clean tones, and also some profiles of the amp's clean channel cranked with volume and gain on full. While this doesn't get into blue territory, it does have a nice crunch to it. Per Rig Manger, gain ranges are from 0 to 3.5. There are a dozen total.
Blue profiles range from overdriven rhythms to enough gain for leads. 4.5 to 6.9 gain on RIg Manager. There are 27 total.
Red ranges from 6.2 to 8.3 on Rig Manager., 27 profiles here also.
All profiles are noted inside with what microphones were used on each profile, many used more than one at once and were carefully phase aligned.

reviews
Spent some time with them yesterday through the CLR and I think they'll work out great. I just had 4 more rock gigs fall in my lap for this month so it looks like the timing is spot on.
As a side note, I found a local guy selling a 5150III 100S (the stealth model) so I checked it out... what a beast of an amp. Though admittedly the tone from the one you profiled is 98% identical so I don't think it's worth profiling the stealth separately.
