Here are some great profiles taken from a Sansamp RBI rackmount preamp. Sansamps are awesome preamps and I bought my first one in the mid 90s. This collection contains profiles that have the same settings as detailed in the Sansamp RBI manual, and then some bonus ones I found on some internet forums. I use these when recording but they also could work well for live use direct to PA or through a poweramp and speaker.
There are 14 total profiles, and all share a simple effects setup, only thing I generally leave on is the compressor so the attack and punch of the bass stays even. This profile set has become the only one I record basslines with on all of my clips here. Here are a few samples.

Clip above has no guitar on it - just Slate Drums from a midi track and slammin' Sansamp/Kemper bass.
Clip above has guitars - using my Diezel VH4 profiles - and Sansamp Kemper bass.
