1972 Marshall Profiles - studio and pedals
I actually own an entire 1972 Marshall Super Lead stack, profiles are of this head and the bottom cab. This is one of my favorite amps and was one of the reasons I bought my Kemper in the first place. I wanted to be able to take the sound of this stack with me to gigs easily, but not risk harming the amp. I also wanted to be able to use fx with my Marshall - 1972 Marshalls don't have an fx loop. So with the Kemper profile of this amp, you get the best of both worlds.
The Studio profiles are with a Neumann TL103 microphone or a Royer R101 Ribbon. Amp was cranked pretty good and there is a cleaner and a dirtier of each. This profile LOVES to have the volume rolled down for cleans. It still gets a nice tone, check out the clip!
How can I top studio profiles? Well, I can provide a different flavor. How about the same head, but with a mid 70s Marshall cab loaded with 55hz Celestion BlackBack speakers? How about profiles with real pedals in front, boosting the gain? In some cases I had to custom build a small box to interface between the kemper output and the amp. Here's a list of the real pedals profiled in front of the Marshall:
Eric Johnson Signature Fuzz Face
Stock Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer
Modded Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer
Fulltone Fulldrive II
Paul C Tim clone
Boss Super Overdrive
Way Huge Red Llama clone
HBE Rig Talk Plank Cranker
21 Profiles Total, 5 Studio + 16 recorded in my home studio
